Our role
Here in the Wide Bay School Sport office, we proudly promote the participation of all students in school sport activities to develop their sporting skills and abilities, to a level that will enable them to selected in regional representative sporting teams capable of competing at a state level. We make it our purpose to create opportunities for all by co-ordinating school sporting activities within the region.
Our districts
The Wide Bay Region is made up of the 6 districts:
- Gympie
- Hervey Bay
- Maryborough
- North Burnett
- South Burnett
- Bundaberg
In most cases, athletes will attend district trials and from there will be selected to represent their district at the Wide Bay School Sport Trials. If selected at regional trials students will be invited to represent Wide Bay School Sport at the Queensland School Sport Championships.
