Selection
School sport policy states that in order to be selected in a Wide Bay regional team, students must be in attendance at the regional trials.
Exceptions
- Student is away at a sporting event of a higher level—this must be a sport approved by Queensland School Sport.
- Student has a medical certificate covering the regional trial date—this applies for team sports only and track and field under specific criteria.
Regional trials are conducted in all sports except swimming, where nominations are collected.
District trial attendance
Prior to attending regional trials, the student must attend a district trial in their age group (10–12 or 13–19) to be selected. This is the procedure for all sports except swimming which is a district based nomination.
